My Political Diary- A Brief History of My Life

     In light of the recent events in Charleston, I just want to bring up the fact that some laws ought to be broken. This post is specifically targeted at white people across America, but I encourage everybody to read it. What happened at Charleston (and is continuing to happen) is absolutely unacceptable. This is not the 1950's, and I have no idea why people are acting like it. And this whole resurgence of the Nazis? Disgusting. I saw a quote earlier today, and I truly don't remember who said it, but it basically said that if you're wondering what you would've done during various Civil Rights movements, now is your time. There's a lot of truth in that, too. If you are capable, I encourage you to help. Donate to the victims, BLM, and other worthy causes.      I have always felt that respect is something to be earned, not forced. My parents are overprotective and very strict. Every time one of my brothers or me make the smallest mistakes (or sometimes no mistakes at all) it turns into a reason to scream. And when my parents say something that's truly hurtful, they don't apologize at all. Their attitude towards me has had many negative effects on me and it's going to take me a long time to unlearn these things.     One incident that I want to talk about briefly perfectly describes what's wrong with our relationship. There's a local amusement park that I like to go to with my friends, and my parents usually give me a time to report back to them. (Also, this time is almost always several hours before any of my friends.)      My name is Autumn Falls, and welcome to what's happening. Life in general is a mess, and I honestly have no idea what's going on. What I do know is that we're living in history. Big things are happening in our world right now, and people are never going to forget these years. I really don't think I can pinpoint when my world began to change. I think it might have had something to do with Donald Trump's presidency. I might be a teenager, but even I know that he's causing problems.      He's one of those people who lives to divide us, and I guess if you didn't read too much into it, you might say it worked.
